Abstract

This research aims to determine pedagogic competency based on the regulation of National Education Minister No. 16 year 2007 owned by Science Teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 2. This research used Qualitative Method where the researcher attempted to analyze data through the source of primary data which was transcript of observation result. It was also completed with the secondary data source which was documentation data and structured interview result with Science Teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. Sample used a total of 2 teachers. Then data were analyzed using Descriptive Analysis. The results showed that the level of pedagogical competence of Science Teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru is optimal level. Can be concluded that pedagogic competencies owned by Science Teachers SMP Muhammadiyah 2 had been in line with the regulation of National Education Minister No. 16 year 2007, but it still needed several improvements and enhancements. Sciences Teacher have applied pedagogic competence in learning, where teacher use method of leraning varies. So it does not make student learning of saturated follow.
