Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how the students’ scientific attitude through practicum at the tenth grade of science students in SMA 10 Pekanbaru. This research was descriptive research. The population in this research was the science students at the tenth grade of SMA 10 Pekanbaru with the sampling technique that used by the researcher, namely strata sample at high, medium, and low academic levels, the total sample was 71 students.The method used in this research was survey method and the data collection was used questionare, observation, interview and documentation. The result of the research showed that the tenth grade of science students in SMA 10 Pekanbaru; 1) High academic: 1. Curiosity was 87,95 %, 2. Respect for data/facts was 84,37%, 3. Critical thinking was 81,10%, 4. Opened thinking and cooperation was 83,89%, 5. Perseverance was 74,07%, 6. Sensitive to the surronding environment was 84,71%, 2) Moderate Academic: 1.Curiosity was 82,29%, 2. Respect for data/facts was 79,74%, 3. Critical thinking was 78,43%, 4. Opened thinking and cooperation was 81,40%, 5. Perseverance was 71,03%, 6. Sensitive to the surronding environment was 79,73%. 3) Low Academic, 1. Curiosity was 81,47%, 2. Respect for data/facts was 76,38%, 3. Critical thinking was 75,82%, 4. Opened thinking and cooperation was 78,46%, 5. Perseverance was 69,9%, 6. Sensitive to the surronding environment was 78,23%. Thus, it can be concluded that the science students at the tenth grade of SMA 10 Pekanbaru in 2017/2018 Academic Year for high academic level in the questionare has good category with percentage of 82,68% and the observation sheet has good category with percentage of 81,93%. Moderate Academic Level in the questionare has good category with percentage of 78,77% and the observation sheet has good category with percentage of 78,18%. Low academic level in the questionare has good category with percentage of 76,71% and the observation sheet has good category with percentage of 77,92%.
