Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of anatomical practical tool of stem nibung for the subject of plant anatomy at Universitas Islam Riau. This research is a development research. Consist of analysis (analyze), design (design) and development (development) states. Determination of the sample was carried out by using purposive sampling technique, so that obtained 15 students who had participated in the course of plant anatomy as the sample. Data was obtained by validating learning media to material experts, learning experts and seeing student responses by conducting limited feasibility trials. The result of this research is prototype practical tool practicum in the form of herbarium stem of nibung plant. Analysis of data is descriptive. Expert material validation results show that the developed learning media is valid with the percentage average of 80%. The result of the validation of the instructional experts shows that the developed learning media is very valid with the average percentage of 88,89%. The teaching aids developed have received very good responses from students. This can be seen from the average student response with a percentage of 87,18% (very good). Conclusion the percentage of validation of learning media is 85,35% with very valid category, hence obtained product in the form of practical tool which very valid used in learning process.
