Abstract
This research aimed to increase learning outcome of students Biology grade XI 1 at IPA SMA PGRI Pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017 through the implementation of guided inquiry learning. This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data analyzed was utilized in this research descriptively. Data were collected on January 19 th consist of 33 students, 12 students were male and 21 students were female. Based on data analyzed, the absorpsion of students in avarege of PPK value before implementing CAR was 66,55%, after implementing CAR obtained 81,61% in the first cycle and 86,30% in the second cycle. Classical completeness of students before implementing CAR was 39,39%, after implementing CAR obtained 78,79% in the first cycle and 100% in the second cycle. The average KI value of students before implementing CAR was 71,10%, after implementing CAR obtained 81,83% in the first cycle and 88,23% in the second cycle. Classical KI completeness of students before implementing CAR was 48,48%, after implementing CAR obtained 84,85% in the first cycle and 100% in the second cycle. Based on the research, researcher concluded that the application of guided inquiry learning can improve students outcomes grade XI at IPA th – February 27 2017. The subjects were students grade XI IPA 1 SMA PGRI Pekanbaru Academic Year 2016/2017.
