Abstract

This study aims to determine the laboratory profile and teacher competency of laboratory science / biology to SMPN Kecamatan Sukajadi, Pekanbaru academic year 2017/2018. based on permendiknas No 24 of 2007 and Permendiknas No. 26 of 2008. The sample in this research is the science teacher who manages the laboratory at 4 State Junior High School Sukajadi District Pekanbaru. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive analysis. The results of this descriptive study indicate that the laboratory profile and the competence of teachers of IPA / Biology laboratory managers in 4 Junior High School Sukajadi District Pekanbaru. Laboratory Pekanbaru show that the conditions have met the minimum standards that have been set that is, SMP Negeri 03 Pekanbaru in good condition with the percentage of 85%, then SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru in good condition with obtained percentage 68%, and SMP Negeri 32 Pekanbaru in condition both with the percentage of 84%, and SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru in good condition with the obtained percentage of 80.5%, it can be concluded that the profile laboratory Science / Biology SMP Negeri sukajadi Pekanbaru district in good condition with the obtained percentage (79.3%) this in accordance with permendiknas No 24 of 2007 and the competence of laboratory management teachers in 4 junior high schools Sukajadi District Pekanbaru declared kompenten in carrying out its duties as head of laboratory with obtained for (61.36%) this is in accordance with Permendiknas No. 26 of 2008.
