Abstract

FS#03 well KDN field is a development well was drilled of sandstone reservoir has 3,89 mD permeability with 510 BFPD total fluid production, 5,1 BOPD oil production and 99% water cuth with 566 psi reservoir pressure which is the reason for hydraulic fracturing stimulation is carried out. The incompability between the selected fracking fluid, the amount of injection fluid injected and the proppant used will cause a failure of the stimulation process. Therefore it is important to do a comparative anaylis between the design and the actual result of hydraulic fracturing, as well as other productivity evaluations. The analysis of hydraulic fracturing stimulation in FS#03 well includes a project evaluation that is comparing the design and actual result using FracCADE 5.1 software, evaluating the KGD 2D fracture geometry by trial error manually and production evaluation namely evaluating the increase of average permeability, evaluating the increase of productivity index (PI) and evaluating oil production rate (Qo) data before and after fracturing. The fracture geometry of the design for hydraulic fracturing of FS#03 well KDN field fracture height is 167,8 ft, fracture length is 121,9 ft, fracture width is 0,064 and fracture conductivity is 10102 mD.ft. While based on the actual data obtained fracture height is 141,6 ft, fracture length is 137,1 ft, fracture width is 0,152 in and fracture conductivity is 12966 mD.ft. The increase in permeability from 3,89 mD to 18,73 mD, increase in multiple productivity is 3,4 times with various methods, and increase in oil production rate (Qo) at the same Pwf 79 psi before fracturing is 5,10 BOPD and after fracturing produced Qo of 85,51 BOPD. By calculating the Pay Out Time (POT) investment cost this fracturing job will return in 58 days so that the hydraulic fracturing stimulation carried out on the FS#03 well KDN field is succesful.
