Abstract

This study aims to determine the laboratory profile andcompetence of laboratory manager teachers science/ Biology Junior High School 6 Pekanbaru school year 2017/ 2018. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive analysis. The sample in this research is the science teacher who manages the laboratory at Junior High School 6 Pekanbaru. Data obtained through observation sheet, questionnaire, interview, document recording. From the results of the research on the laboratory profile, obtained a percentage on each indicator that is, the furniture facilities of 89,28% categorized very complete, educational tools obtained percentage 57,40% are fully categorized, 100% education media categorized very complete and other equipment show 75% categorized very complete. While the result of research competence of laboratory manager of IPA / Biology labor obtained the highest percentage on personality competence aspect by 89% is categorized as very competent, while result of lowest percentage in aspect of qualification 0% is categorized incompetent. Percentage of labor profile of Junior High School 6 Pekanbaru, percentage average 80,42% categorized (very complete) and accrordance with Permendiknas No 24 of 2007). Competence of laboratory managers teacherscience/ Biology of Junior High School 6 Pekanbaru, percentage average 65,52% (competent) and accrordance with Permendiknas No 26 of 2008.
