Abstract
Increasing orchid requirements and endangered orchids due to forest exploitation need to be supported by the supply of seeds in large quantities and in a short time, as well as good quality by multiplying through tissue culture. This study has 2 stages which aims to determine the effect of IBA and kinetin on the growth of moon orchid root explants and the development of tissue culture modules in FKIP Biology UIR from January to March 2018. The results of the study at the tissue culture stage showed that the concentration of IBA and kinetin were non-significant for live explants, significant for the percentage of shoots and number of shoots, but not significant for the percentage of leaves and number of leaves formed. Research phase of the development of researchers using the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques use validation sheets by material experts and learning experts and see lecturer and student responses to the modules developed by conducting limited trials. The results of validation by material experts indicate that the modules developed get an average percentage of 85,75% (very valid). The results of validation by learning experts indicate that the module developed gets an average percentage of 87.74% (very valid). This developed module received very good responses from lecturers with an average percentage of 94.62% (very good). This developed module also received very good responses from students with an average percentage of 85.44% (good). Based on the results of the validation of the experts, the product was obtained in the form of a tissue culture module that is very valid for use in the learning process.
