Abstract

Nibung (O.tigillarium) one of the plants that became the identity of Riau. Efforts to conserve these plants are done in-vitro by using NAA growth regulator. This research was conducted in 2 stages, namely in phase I tissue culture research that aims to determine the effect of NAA hormone on nibung eksplan. The research was conducted at the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau. The design used in tissue culture research is RAL (Completely Randomized Design) with one fact that is NAA and concentration used 4 levels ie 0 ppm; 0.1 ppm; 1.0 ppm; dkan 2.0 ppm. The results of tissue culture studies showed the most rapid growth of callus age at N1c treatment (0.1 ppm) on the 19th day. On average the percentage formed callus at the highest treatment of 68.75% in N1 treatment (0.1 ppm). At callus height, callus that reaches the best height at treatment N1d (0,1 ppm) that is 0,9 cm. Research phase II aims to produce visual learning media in the form of tissue culture poster. This research is a Research and Development (R & D) research, using the ADDIE development model. The development of instructional media is done from the stage of analysis to development. Determination of sample using purposive sampling technique. Based on the technique, there were 30 students from two classes, 5A and 5B. Data collection techniques use validation sheet by material expert and media expert and student response questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis. The result of this research is printed product that is poster of tissue culture. Expert material validation results indicate that the learning media including very decent category with an average score of 97.91%, the validation results by media experts showed that the learning media is very decent category with an average score of 99.30%, the results of validation by the learning experts showed that the learning media including very decent category with an average score of 95.31% and validation results by lecturers showed that the learning media including very decent category with an average score of 96.87%. Assessment by students gets a very good category with a percentage of 93.97%. Based on the results of validation from the experts obtained the product in the form of tissue culture poster is very feasible to be used in the learning process.
