Abstract
The objective of this research is to find out the factors that influence the integration of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in English Language Education at FKIP UIR. This research focused on lecturers’ problems. The research design of this study was case study. The participants of this research were lecturers of English Language Education at FKIP UIR. There were 10 lecturers as the sources of information to collect the data. The instruments of the research were questionnaire and interview. There were 30 questions for questionnaire and 7 questions for interview. The data were analyzed by categorizing the data based on indicators, describing the data and making a conclusion. From the result, junior lecturers were more ready to use ICT in teaching and learning process. There was no relation between gender and ICT integration. The academic qualification and number of teaching experiences also did not influence the use of ICT. The training that has been given by campus makes the lecturers easy to use ICT. The lecturer’s workload did not influence the integration of ICT. Last, the lecturers have positive attitude toward the use of ICT make them easy to integrate the ICT. In conclusion, the gender, academic qualification, teaching experience and the lecturer’s workload were not the factors that influence the integration of ICT in English Language Education at FKIP UIR. In contrary, age, proper training, the facilities of ICT that provided by campus and lecturer’s attitudes were the factors that influence the ICT integration in English Language Education at FKIP UIR.
