Abstract

The advancement of technology already takes a place in education significantly. Currently, Google Classroom is one of the new innovations used by many teachers and students as teaching and learning media, and each person has difference perception of its usage. Students’ perceptions will present suggestions for upcoming difficulties on learning media, especially Google Classroom. This research aims to find out the students’ perception of Google Classroom in English Language Education at FKIP UIR, based on the indicators of Technology Acceptance Model by Davis (1989). This research was conducted with a Qualitative Method in order to describe the students’ perception of Google Classroom usage. The samples were 30 students of 6th semester students in English Language Education at FKIP UIR. Spreading questionnaires and interviewing the students were done in collecting the data. The findings showed that 27 students have positive perception in Behaviour Intention to Use, 25 students have positive perception in Actual System Use, 23 students have positive perception in Perceive Usefulness, 22 students have positive perception in Perceive Ease of Use, and then 16 students have positive perception in Attitude toward Using. The result of the findings proved that the students’ perceptions of Google Classroom are positive.
