Abstract

Learning outcomes are the results of the learning process to achieve certain goals so The research aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of Grade VIII students Middle School N 12 Pekanbaru with the Application of Student Type Cooperative Learning Models Facilitator and Explaining. The study was conducted in odd semester 2018/2019. The study took place on November 15, 2018 to December 6, 2018 with 5 learning meetings and two daily tests. Subjects in research There are 38 students of SMP N 12 Pekanbaru. The form of research is Classroom action research consists of two cycles. Data collection techniques in research conducted with observation techniques and learning outcomes tests. Activity observation sheet teachers and students were analyzed during the learning process. Test technique in the form daily tests I and daily tests II. Student mathematics learning achievement test with analysis of student learning completeness and average student learning outcomes mathematics learning outcomes class VIII 1 SMP N 12 Pekanbaru Analysis of average learning outcomes comparing before action taken and after action. From the results of comparing there improvement of student learning outcomes in class VIII . SMP N 12 Pekanbaru. On the base score amount students who completed 11 students (28.94%), daily tests I the number of students who completed 24 students (63.15%) an increase of 13 students and daily tests II of students who completed as many as 29 (76.31%) and the average student learning outcomes on the base score was 66.88 on the test daily I is 72.47 and in daily II tests it becomes 76.42. the results above are concluded that the application of the student facilitator and expalaining type of cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in class VIII 1 1 SMP N 12 Pekanbaru.
