Abstract
Humans are destined to live with their own spouses in marriage relationship. This research aims to know the description of marital conflict on a wife who has a long distance marriage relationship. This research used quantitative methods with the number of samples in the amount of 70 wives who has a long distance marriage relationship with their husbands. The sampling technique used was quota sampling. The measurement tool used consisted of 28 items which were based on marital conflict aspects with reabulity score (Alpa Cronbach’s) 0,886. The data analysis used was descriptive statistical analysis through the assistance of SPSS program version 17.0 for windows. The results of the research obtain the description of marital conflict on a wife who has a long distance marriage relationship in Pekanbaru city categorized medium with percentage in the amount of 42,9%. The marital conflict on a wife who has a long distance marriage relationship mostly occurs at age between 22 – 39 years old. Then if looking at the marital conflict based on the meeting intensity, it was seen at 1 – 2 months, and if seen from the length of time in running the marriage at about 4 – 6,5 year with subject’s status as the housewife and employees.
