Abstract

This research discussed the issue of primary prevention of grant theft auto. It was caused by there were many grant theft auto crime cases in Sectoral Police of Bukit Raya. However, in this research, it was focused on finding out the way of primary prevention done by police in Bukit Raya on preventing grant theft auto. It was a descriptive qualitative research by using survey method. It used descriptive method to describe real situation about what happened during the study by collecting and analyzing data obtained in Sectoral Police of Bukit Raya. Technique of collecting data was directly interviewing key informant (head of Sectoral Police of Bukit Raya) and other informants so that the information is objective and reliable. From the result of interviews, it can be concluded that ways to prevent crimes done in Sectoral Police of Bukit Raya were through patrol every night to prevent/press crime rates and enlightenment societies and students to do early anticipation towards crimes, especially in grant theft auto crime.
