Abstract

The writing of this thesis aims to determine the role of the Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) in implementing the Prevention of Eradication and Illegal Drug Trafficking (P4GN) policy in the community. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive research, which is a study that describes the situation that occurs in the field. From the results of the study, it was obtained an illustration that the role of the Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) in carrying out prevention policies in combating drug abuse and illicit trafficking (P4GN) in the community runs in accordance with the programs and activities owned by the Riau Province BNN which is running a precautionary prevention program and eradication of drug abuse and circulation (P4GN). Dissemination of information on the prevention and eradication of drug abuse and circulation (P4GN) in the school and work environment, advocacy in the field of prevention and eradication of drug abuse and circulation (P4GN) both in government and private work, the formation of anti-drug cadres, as well as collecting information and mapping areas that are prone to drug abuse and illicit trafficking. But in the implementation there are still obstacles for BNN Riau Province in carrying out its programs and activities, such as constraints on the limited human resources in the implementation of technical activities and the lack of understanding of public awareness to commit together in preventing and combating drug trafficking in Riau Province. BNN Riau Province will never stop evaluating the strategy or even strive to continue to improve the obstacles that exist when implementing in the field.
