Abstract

Dian Novalny (144120001). Effects of concentration and nutrition brands on yield of mustard plant (Brassica juncea L.) in wick system hydroponic. Supervised by Ir. Saripah Ulpah, M. Sc., Ph. D., as main supervisor and Ir. Hj. T. Rosmawaty, M. Si., as co-supervisor. This research was carried out in Jalan Kelapa Sawit No. 11 Pekanbaru Riau for 2 months, Started in April 2018 up to May 2018. The objective of the research was to evaluate the effects of concentration and nutrition brands on yield of mustard plant (Brassica juncea L.) in wick system hydroponic. The research carried out using Factorial Randomized Design with two factors which was concentration (with 3 levels : 500-700-900 ppm, 600-800-1000 ppm and 700-900-1100 ppm) and nutrition brands (with 3 levels : Good Plant, Hydro J and Ijo). Each treatment was repeated three times and each unit experiment consisted of 3 plant samples. The result of the experiment showed that concentration significant affected the relative growth rate and economical weigth of yield. Concentration yielded the best result was at 700-900-1100 ppm. Nutrition brands showed diffrence effect on plant height, relative growth rate and economical weight of yield. Brand Good Plant was the best nutrition.
