Abstract

Based on these problems, the objectives of the research are to find out the roles and obstacles of the Civil Service Police Unit and the Fire Brigade of Pelalawan District in providing prevention of forest and land fire. To carry out the descriptive survey type used quantitative research methods. The population of this research are officers of Satpol and Pelalawan District Fire Police Unit, the Community of Fire Enviroment (MPA), and the people around fire disaster prone area with sensu sampling technique and purposive sampling. Types and data sources used primary data and secondary data, while data collection conducted observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. After the data obtained then carried out the analysis in the form of quantitative and described clearly and briefly. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the Police Unit of Pamong Praja and Pelalawan District Fire Department have played a role in providing counseling and prevention of forest and land fires. Where almost all question items submitted to each indicator (drafting work plan, creating and establishing work program, conducting counseling and prevention) have been established and implemented by Pelalawan District Fire and Police Service Unit in an effort to give counseling on forest and land fire prevention . Barriers of Civil Service Police Unit and Fire Department of Pelalawan District in giving counseling on forest and land fire prevention which is encountered by poor personnel, incomplete and limited infrastructure, and limited budget allocation.
