Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of duties and authority of the election supervisory committee in the election of district head of siak district 2015. The population in this study are all elements that become the object of research that is the chairman, as well as members of Panwaslu members concerned in the supervision of the general election. The sample was taken using census technique and random sampling technique so that the informants in the study amounted to 7 people. Data analysis used is qualitative method that is doing research by way of approach to object under study to get accurate data. The result of the research shows that the performance of Panwaslu of Tualang District is good enough in conducting supervision of General Election of Regional Head in Tualang Subdistrict of Siak Regency in 2015. As monitoring of data updating goes well even though there are some invalid data such as double voting card but have been investigated by Kecamatan Panwaslu and reported that there is no problem in the implementation of the election. In addition, monitoring of the campaign implementation is also running well. Supervision of timely distribution and voice counting works well. It is expected that the District Panwaslu to always coordinate with the District Panwaslu and District KPUDs so that the information received is not always late and received suddenly.
