Abstract

UMKM is one type of business that has a small capital and is very much in the community as a support for life. MSMEs are an integral part of the government's task of empowering, fostering small and medium-sized entrepreneurs as a support for the economy of the community and regional economy. The purpose of this study was to determine the role and constraints of the Pelalawan Regency Office of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry and Trade in the Development and Development of Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises in Pangkalan Kerinci District. The concept of theory used according to Soekanto (2004). This research uses descriptive type through quantitative and qualitative approaches. Determination of the entire population as a sample of 24 people, with the type and source of data used primary data and secondary data. Research data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the results of previous data analysis, it can be concluded that the role of the Office of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry and Trade in the Pelalawan Regency in the development and development of micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) in Pangkalan Kerinci District is in the good category with assessment of development and guidance indicators . Obstacles in the development and development of micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) in Pangkalan Kerinci Subdistrict in the form of business interests and innovations, business support facilities.
