Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Pamng Praja Police Unit in Tampan Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City, in controlling community diseases that still exist in the community, especially in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City and to find out the obstacles faced by unscrupulous Satpol PP members in dealing with community diseases in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. This type of research located in the office of the Civil Service Police Unit precisely at the Head of District Office in Tampan City, Pekanbaru, uses qualitative methods, namely a study that makes humans as instruments and adjusts to reasonable situations in relation to data collection which is generally qualitative and is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from people and observable behavior. Determination of informants in this research uses purposive sampling techniques. Purposive Samplping is a technique of retrieving data source data with certain considerations, namely the data source is considered to know the best about what is expected, making it easier for researchers to explore the object or social situation being examined. The data collection technique used consists of observation or observation, interviews and documentation, the collected data is then made the main raw material for analyzing the empirical conditions of the objectivity of the existence of the research objectives in the studied location. Based on the technical analysis above, the researcher assessed and concluded that the role of the Civil Service Police Unit in controlling the community disease in Tampan Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City, could be said to be less instrumental and still lacking in firmness by individual Satpol PP members in handling such cases so that there were still people dare to violate the regulation. This can happen because there are still obstacles that still interfere with the performance of the Satpol PP personnel.
