Abstract

The english language is one of the languages used an universal communicating, without english language skills will have difficulty communicating properly international cavites. This research is developing applications of augmented reality-based machine translation can provide education to students with different media in order to enhance the interest of students in learning the english language. This application uses the vuforia library sdk that is capable of displaying 3D characters with a technique in the form of markerless augmented reality. The result of this research in the form of applications that can be used on a smartphone with android operating system, based on the results of testing against application of the obtained conclusions that this application can display 3D characters on a light dimmer with the intensity of light at a distance of 10 cm lux 28-60 cm and angle 10 °- 90 °, after a review of the application against 95% of correspondents stated the application is good, then this application can help students learn English back in addition to in all schools.
