Abstract

This research was conducted in Sungai Bawang Village. The purpose of this research is to know how far the role of Village Government in Village Development in Sungai Bawang Village. In this case there is still a phenomenon where the planned development has not been all done eg road semenisasi and box culver. In the implementation of village development, the government must have adequate natural resources and always try to build the village to become a more developed and developing village, especially the village government must play a role in inviting the community to participate in the development process in order to achieve maximum development and mutual interest. Indicators used include: Planning, Implementation, Utilization and development. This research was conducted by using descriptive survey method, with quantitative data analysis technique in assist with interview. The population and the sample in this study were taken from all employees and society amounting to 1151 with sample 57 people. After going through the process of research and presentation and data analysis, it can be concluded that the Role of Village Government in Village Development in Sungai Bawang Village Singingi Sub-district Kuantan Singingi Regency in the category is enough to play with the reason that the village government pay less attention to the development undertaken and less invite the community to participate in development especially in decision-making that must be run by village and community governments. And the existing development is not utilized as well as possible by the people of Sungai Bawang village.
