Abstract

Leadership is the process of directing and influencing activities that are related to the work of group members to achieve common goals designed to provide individual and organizational benefits. Operationally the main function of leadership consists of instructive functions, consultative functions, participation functions, delegation functions and control functions. This research is located in Sabak Auh District Primary School of Siak Regency. The population in this research is head of UPTD, Principal and teacher of SD Negeri in Kecamatan Sabak Auh. The sampling technique used is using saturated sampling technique and using incidental sampling technique. Data collection of respondents was done by distributing questionnaires, conducting interviews with informants, documentation and observation. Data analysis is done qualitatively and quantitatively by using frequency table with choice of answer done, enough implemented and less implemented. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the Implementation of Leadership Function of Elementary School Principal In Sabak Auh Kabupaten Siak Sri Indrapura Regency based on assessment items as much as 5 items of assessment which the author submits to the Head of State Elementary School in Sabak Auh Kabupaten Siak Sri Indrapura Regency is in the category " with a percentage of 80,0%. Meanwhile, based on the responses of respondents of the State Elementary School Teachers at Sabak Auh Kabupaten Siak Sri Indrapura Regency based on the assessment items as many as 5 items of assessment that the author submits to the elementary school teacher in Kecamatan Sabak Auh Kabupaten Siak Sri Indrapura Regency is in the category "Self Performed" with a percentage of 51,0 %. The obstacles experienced in the Implementation of Leadership Function of Elementary School Principal In Kecamatan Sabak Auh Kabupaten Siak Sri Indrapura Regency is the low understanding of the principal about its function as a leader, the lack of supervision and any factors of interest.
