Abstract

his study aims to determine and analyze: (1) the leadership style of the Subdistrict Head at the Bathin Solapan Subdistrict Office, Bengkalis Regency, (2) the work ethic of employees at the Bathin Solapan Subdistrict Office, Bengkalis Regency, and (3) the influence of the Subdistrict Head's leadership style on employee work ethic at the Bathin Solapan Subdistrict Office, Bengkalis Regency. The research method used was a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The population of this study was all employees at the Bathin Solapan Subdistrict Office, while the sample was taken by census. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques to examine the relationships and influences between variables. The results of the study indicate that the sub-district head's leadership style is in the very good category, the employees' work ethic is also in the very good category, and there is a positive and significant influence of leadership style on employee work ethic. These findings indicate that the more effective the leadership style implemented, the higher the employee work ethic. This research is expected to provide input for local governments to continue developing adaptive, participatory, and performance-oriented leadership styles to improve public services at the subdistrict level.
