Abstract

TranslationAbstractMicro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in the Indonesian economy, yet they continue to face various challenges in achieving sustainable business success. One of the government's efforts to encourage the digital transformation of MSMEs is through the implementation of the Quick Response Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as the national digital payment system. This study aims to analyze and compare the business success of MSMEs before and during the use of QRIS in Taman Kota, Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.Business success is measured through seven indicators: capital accumulation, production volume, number of customers, business expansion, marketing area expansion, physical facility improvement, and business income. This study employs a quantitative approach with a comparative method. The research sample consists of 70 MSMEs selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test.The results indicate that all business success indicators experienced a significant increase after the implementation of QRIS, with a significance value of $p < 0.05$. The most prominent improvements occurred in product diversification, the number of loyal customers, and business income and profits. These findings prove that QRIS does not only impact transaction convenience but also contributes significantly to the overall business success of MSMEs. Thus, QRIS can serve as a strategic instrument in supporting digital transformation and strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs at the regional level.
