Abstract

The process of managing academic grades that is still conducted manually often leads to several issues, such as delays in information delivery, data input errors, and limited access to information for students and parents. This study aims to analyze and improve the UI/UX design of a school information system website by applying the Design Thinking approach to ensure that the proposed solution meets the needs of users, including teachers, students, and school administrators. The prototype evaluation was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires, which were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk test to examine data normality and the Wilcoxon test as a follow-up analysis when the data were not normally distributed, with data processing conducted using the Jamovi application. These analyses were used to identify interface components that require improvement. In addition, the system’s usability level was evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The results show that the system obtained an average SUS score of 71.1, which falls into Grade B with a Good category, indicating that the system has a good level of usability and is acceptable to users, although several aspects still need further improvement.
