Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of public relations function of Polsek by Binmas in socializing the threat of illegal mining crime in Singingi Hilir Subdistrict of Kuantan Singingi Regency and to know the obstacles of Binmas in socializing the threat of illegal mining crime in Kecamatan Singingi Hilir Kuantan Singingi Regency. In this research, the researcher use survey research method with qualitative approach to obtain research data of the subject chosen by purposive sampling that is as much as 6 person informant , with technique of collecting interview data, observation and documentation . The results showed that the implementation of public relations function of Polsek by Binmas in socializing the threat of illegal miners in the District of Singingi Hilir Kuantan Singingi Regency Riau Province in the form of counseling and installation of bulletin boards and do not use electronic or print media, so the result is less than the maximum. This is evidenced by the still high illegal mining activities in Singingi Hilir Sub-district Kuantan Singingi District, and its impact on the environment is also getting worse. Binmas barriers in socializing the threat of illegal mining crime in Singingi Hilir Sub-district Kuantan Singingi Regency of Riau Province: the lack of support from village government officials and illegal mining business has become the main livelihood of the community.
