Abstract

Maintaining family archives is an important aspect of preserving family heritage and history. With the rapid advancement of technology, family archive maintenance services have become an urgent need. By providing these services, we can ensure that important information and documents about our family are well-protected. LAPAK is a web-based application designed with the aim of providing full access to the public in terms of maintaining family archives through the encapsulation method. This research uses a descriptive survey type with a qualitative method. Qualitative research itself is a method that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior. In this study, informants were prioritized and valued, allowing for the discovery of phenomenological facts. In implementing the service program, several obstacles were still encountered by the service team and the community using the service. such as websites that cannot be opened or accessed, all agencies involved in this program are also clear, the leadership structure in this service is also clear, and there is an evaluation carried out by the relevant agencies. The number of service targets, namely the people of Pekanbaru City, who use this service is still too small, perhaps due to the lack of public awareness about the importance of archives. The appointed team has carried out its duties well, only sometimes it is hampered by technological devices or computers that often experience problems which will hinder the archive digitization process.
