Abstract

Interpersonal communication plays an important role in creating a harmonious work environment and supporting the improvement of employee performance. Various studies have shown that consistent, open, and supportive leadership communication has a positive impact on motivation, job satisfaction, loyalty, and team effectiveness. A case study at Erber Coffee Shop in Pekanbaru illustrates the application of interpersonal communication through regular briefings and the active role of leadership in resolving internal conflicts and employees’ personal issues. Communication barriers that are not addressed promptly can reduce work enthusiasm and disrupt company operations. Moreover, in service industries such as coffee shops, effective interpersonal communication between employees and customers becomes a key factor in creating customer satisfaction and loyalty. Friendly service and communication that is clear and easy to understand not only enhance the business’s image but also contribute to sales growth. Therefore, developing interpersonal communication skills needs to be an integral part of human resource management in various organizations.
