Abstract

This study was motivated by the fact that although the murabahah contract was considered one of the simplest, most transparent, and Sharia-compliant financing products, its implementation in practice still encountered several challenges. Some customers reported that the administrative procedures were perceived as complicated due to the number of required documents, and they also experienced difficulties in understanding the technical terms used in the contract. This study aimed to examine the implementation of murabahah contract in microenterprise financing products at Bank Riau Kepri Syariah (Perseroda) Siak Perawang. This research employed a field research design with a descriptive qualitative approach conducted at Bank Riau Kepri Syariah Siak Perawang to obtain relevant data. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the murabahah contract in microenterprise financing products had been carried out in accordance with Sharia principles. Compliance with DSN-MUI fatwas and supervision by the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) were consistently applied. The contract implementation procedures were conducted systematically in line with standard operating procedures, and transparency of information had been properly implemented.
