Abstract

The gradual construction of multi-storey buildings has the potential for structural problems if the implementation time gap is long enough, especially due to changes in loads and regulatory changes that affect the structural capacity. One example is the Hospital building in Pekanbaru. At the time of planning, it was planned to be built as high as 9 floors in 2008 using SNI 2847-2002 and SNI 1726-2002, but only 3 floors were built in 2009. The construction plan was resumed in 2024 according to the initial plan of 9 floors. However, the existing 3-story building needs to be considered whether it can still be built as high as 9 floors according to the initial plan and design or whether the number of floors will be reduced by using the latest regulations. Therefore, it is necessary to re-analyze the structural strength using the latest standards, namely SNI 2847-2019 and SNI 1726-2019. This study aims to analyze the inter-story drift (Story Drift) due to the addition of the number of floors to determine whether the existing structure still meets the permissible drift limits and determine the maximum number of floors that can be built based on the latest standards. The analysis method uses a spectrum response with stepwise modeling starting from 3 existing floors added one floor at a time with the help of structural analysis software.
