Abstract

The Innovation of Token Prepaid Water Meter Service at the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) Uptd is a replacement of the drinking water recording and payment system from a postpaid (conventional) system to a prepaid system that uses tokens, similar to the pulse system on prepaid electricity run by the Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Public Housing and Residential Areas. This study was conducted to determine the Innovation of Token Prepaid Water Meter Service on the service system provided for clean water management at the TARUKIM public works department in Mempura District, Siak Regency. This type of research uses a descriptive quantitative method with a sample of 100 people and by using five dimensions of assessment indicators, namely customer involvement, self-service, customer experience, problem solving and co-designing. The results of this study indicate that the Innovation of Token Prepaid Water Meter Service in Mempura District, Siak Regency is quite effective, due to the Success in Overcoming Customer Arrears Problems, Increasing Control and Transparency for Customers (Self-Service), Solutions to Recording Conflicts (Problem Solving), Support and Financial Benefits for Local Governments (UPTD SPAM) and Ease of Access to Token Purchases. Therefore, this innovation not only works but also succeeds in realizing positive impacts that meet the expectations of both organizers and users.
