Abstract

This research aims to develop a Pop-up Book learning media to enhance first-grade elementary students’ early reading skills. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model, consisting of analysis, design, and development stages. The research subjects were first-grade students of SDN 182 Pekanbaru. Data were collected through interviews, validation questionnaires, and teacher and student response questionnaires. The validation results showed that the Pop-up Book media achieved an overall average score of 97.14% categorized as highly valid, including 100% for content, 95% for language, and 96.43% for media. Teacher responses reached an average of 91.11% and student responses 100%, both in the very good category. These findings indicate that the Pop-up Book media is feasible and effective as an interactive learning tool to improve early reading skills among elementary school students.
