Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated learning with the Project Based Learning model on students’ collaboration skills in the IPAS subject of Class VA at SDN 114 Pekanbaru. The research employed a quantitative method with a Pre-Experimental design using the One Group Pretest Post-test approach. The sample consisted of 33 students selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used was a collaboration skills questionnaire with a Likert scale, which had been tested for validity and reliability. Research data were collected through pretests and posttests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and hypothesis testing with the Paired Sample t-test through SPSS 25. The results showed an increase in the average collaboration score from 74.67 in the pretest to 105.67 in the posttest, with an average difference of 31 points. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed with significance values of 0.218 for the pretest and 0.305 for the posttest. The Paired Sample t-test obtained a t-value of 43.271, which was greater than the t-table value of 2.037, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate a significant effect of differentiated learning with the Project Based Learning model on students’ collaboration skills. The study implies that the implementation of project-based differentiated learning can serve as an effective alternative instructional strategy to improve elementary school students’ collaboration skills in accordance with the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum.
