Abstract
A battery is an electrochemical cell that converts chemical energy into electrical energy. One type of battery that is currently developing is the lithium-ion battery. Lithium-Ion Battery or lithium ion battery is one type of secondary current source battery that can be recharged. This study was conducted to see the effect of composition on graphite and coconut shell charcoal on electrical conductivity, bending strength and microstructure on polymer conductor plates. This study carried out variations in the composition of graphite: coconut shell charcoal: epoxy resin starting from 70%: 20%: 10%, 60%: 30%: 10% and 50%: 40%: 10% and used the dry pressing method in the printing process. The highest resistivity test results occurred in sample 3 with a composition of 50% graphite: 40% coconut shell charcoal: 10% epoxy resin, which is 0.355 Ω, the highest electrical conductivity occurred in sample 1 with a composition of 70% graphite: 20% coconut shell charcoal: 10% epoxy resin, which is 50.0 S/cm and the highest bending strength occurred in sample 3, which is 3.84 MPa. This is because the composition of graphite is larger and the coconut shell charcoal is smaller, it will increase the electrical conductivity value in the polymer conductor plate sample and it can be seen from the results of microstructure observations in sample 3 that there are fewer pores, thus increasing the bending strength value in the polymer conductor plate sample.
