Abstract
his research aims to develop an Android-based application using Augmented Reality (AR) technology that can virtually display men’s hairstyles in real time on the user's face. The application is built using Unity with AR Foundation, and employs face tracking technology to detect the user’s face dynamically. The 3D hairstyle models are designed to follow the position and orientation of the user’s head, allowing users to preview how different hairstyles would appear before undergoing an actual haircut. The system also enables users to select hairstyle types and colors through an interactive button interface. Data collection was conducted through interviews with barbers to identify commonly requested hairstyles, as well as user questionnaires to validate the application. Test results show that the application performs well on various Android devices and received positive feedback from users, with an average satisfaction rate of 87%. In conclusion, this application offers a practical solution to help users preview different hairstyles virtually before cutting their hair, thereby reducing the risk of dissatisfaction with the final result.
