Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based academic information system to improve the efficiency of academic data management at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Lesung. The development method used is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model, consisting of planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. The system is designed for multiple user roles, including admin, teachers, students, and parents, with different access rights. The black box testing method indicates that all system features function properly. Additionally, evaluation from 25 respondents resulted in a Likert scale index score of 83.4%, indicating very positive user feedback. Therefore, the academic information system is considered effective in supporting academic administration and information delivery online, while also increasing transparency and parental involvement in students’ education.
