Abstract
The lack of interactive learning media in vocational schools, particularly in the field of electrical engineering, presents a significant challenge in delivering complex materials such as the construction of Medium Voltage Overhead Lines (MVOL). This subject requires a strong visual understanding of the physical form and structural layout of field installations, which is difficult to achieve through conventional media such as textbooks or static images. This study aims to design and develop an educational application utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) technology to visualize the construction of MVOL in an interactive threedimensional format. The development process follows the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model, consisting of six stages: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The application was tested on students from a vocational high school majoring in Electrical Power Installation as a case study. The results indicate that the application significantly enhances students’ understanding of MVOL structures and components compared to traditional learning methods. The implementation of AR technology provides a more engaging, realistic, and interactive learning experience. Therefore, this application offers a promising solution to the scarcity of effective instructional media in vocational education
