Abstract

The development of information technology provides opportunities for managing boarding house businesses to switch from a manual system to a more efficient and accurate digital system. This research aims to build a web-based management information system for Kos Tiga Putra in Pekanbaru. The system is developed using native PHP programming language and MySQL database, applying the Waterfall software development method which includes stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and testing. This system is equipped with main features such as room search and booking, resident data recording, payments, and financial reporting that can be accessed in real-time. System testing is conducted using the black box method to ensure functionality operates as designed, as well as User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving 11 respondents from the boarders. The UAT results show a satisfaction level of 86.6%, indicating that the system has met user needs and is suitable for implementation. With this system, the cost management process becomes more efficient, transparent, and digitally integrated.
