Abstract

Green Open Space (RTH) is a vital component of spatial planning, serving not only ecological functions but also offering social and aesthetic value that directly impacts community well-being. Taman Duta Mas, located in RT 04 RW 03 of Tanah Merah Village, Siak Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, is one such RTH utilized by the local community, although the overall availability and quality of green spaces in the village remain limited. Issues identified include comfort, safety, accessibility, adequacy of facilities, and low community participation in management. An evaluation was conducted to assess public satisfaction and to provide a basis for future improvements and development of RTH facilities. This study was carried out in the Taman RT 04 RW 03 area of Tanah Merah Village with the aim of identifying the level of community satisfaction with the available green space. A descriptive quantitative approach was used, involving field observations and a questionnaire survey of 100 respondents. The assessment was based on six key indicators: availability, accessibility, comfort, safety, maintenance, and social function. The data analysis revealed that overall community satisfaction falls into the "moderately satisfied" category, with an average Likert score of 3.10. These findings suggest that while the park is beneficial to residents, improvements are needed in facility maintenance, night-time lighting, and supporting infrastructure. This research is expected to serve as input for the village government in formulating participatory, sustainable, and community-based green space development policies.
