Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of used oil and cooking oil as stove fuel. Used oil and cooking oil are waste which can result from various industrial and household activities. Howeyer, both still have potential as friendly stove fuels environmental and cost-effective. This study uses experimental methods by testing used oil and cooking oil as stove fuel. Result research shows that the density used oil 1000 kg/� while the viscosity used oil is 10 cSt and cooking oil 4 cSt. Different in flame point in used fuel oil and cooking oil is used oil 287.5 ℃ while cooking oil 193.5 ℃. Operating costs produced by used oil are more economical compared to cooking oil that is on used oil Rp. 105.000 in the meantime cooking oil operational costs around Rp. 110.000 stoves start can. Used after the temperature of used oil and cooking oil is more than 100 ℃ according to with the burning point of used oil and cooking oil. 3 and cooking oil 1000kg/� 3
