Abstract
Roads are a crucial transportation infrastructure supporting public mobility and economic growth. Therefore, road construction must be properly planned to accommodate traffic loads within the design life span. The research phase begins with primary and secondary data collection, equivalent axle load (ESA) calculations, subgrade classification, and determination of the thickness of the surface pavement, superstructure, and subbase. This research used the Bina Marga Pt T-01-2002-B Method, a standard for pavement thickness design that considers average daily traffic (LHR) data, CBR values, the design life span, and local climatic conditions. This study aimed to determine the pavement layer thickness using the Bina Marga method. The analysis results indicated that the required pavement layer thicknesses consisted of a surface layer (AC-WC 5 cm and AC-BC 10 cm), a 6 cm thick superstructure, and a 52 cm thick substructure. The superstructure and substructure thicknesses did not comply with the planning standard requirements, likely due to the low vehicle volume recorded during the traffic survey.
