Abstract

Construction work is the whole or part of activities that include the building, operation, maintenance, demolition, and reconstuction of a structure. The implementation of the construction safety management system (CSMS) in construction project has not been fully carried out properly, despite the existence of regulations that accommodate its application. Construction work is a job that carries significant risk and cause work related accident. The purpose of this research is to improve the effectiveness of occupational health and safety (OHS) protection that is planned, measurable, structured, and integrated, in order to prevent and reduce work accidents and occupational diseases by involving both management and workers, as well as to create a safe, comfortable, and efficient workplace to promote produtivity. One of the approaches taken is the HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) method. From the research results, the risk factors in the implementation of construction projects consist of 6 variables with 24 risk indicators. The criteria used in the HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) method is SPSS software on Likelihood and Saverity. The validity test on Likelihood found 25 valid results out of 26 risk indicators, while the validity test results on Saverity found 25 valid results out of 26 risk indicators. The reliability test on Likelihood results in 0.962 or 96.2%, while the reliability test on Saverity results in 0.968 or 96.8%.The risk assessment that has been identified using the HIRA (Hazard Identification And Risk Assessment) method results in 13 risks in the low rank (Low) with a range of 1-4 while 13 risks in the medium rank (Medium) with a range of 5-12.
