Abstract
The background of this study was the low level of students’ learning motivation, which could be observed through behaviors such as reluctance to complete assignments, lack of attention during lessons, and failure to submit assignments on time. Therefore, this research aimed to determine whether the school environment had an influence on students’ learning motivation at the Islamic Junior High School in Kualu Village, Tambang Subdistrict, Kampar Regency. This study employed a quantitative method with a correlational approach and was conducted over four months, from September 2023 to December 2023. The results showed that (1) there was a significant influence of the school environment on students’ learning motivation, with a significance value of 0.000, and (2) the school environment contributed 43.1% to students’ learning motivation, while the remaining 56.9% was influenced by other factors. It was predicted that if a supportive school environment was applied, learning motivation could increase by 41.9%. Conversely, in the absence of a conducive school environment, students’ learning motivation could decline by 41.9% or 0.419.
