Abstract

This research is motivated by the some problem, first is the low number of zakat collection and the potencial of zakat which should be, especially from the aspect of zakat mal. Second, lack of awareness of traders in paying zakat mal. Third, there is still limited knowledge of traders about the level or nishab of zakat mal. Therefore, the author is focused on the knowledge level of Pekanbaru City market traders regarding zakat mal. The formulation in this study is how the knowledge of market traders Pekanbaru City on zakat mal. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of knowledge of Pekanbaru City market traders on zakat mal. While the subjects in this study were Pekanbaru market traders. The object of this research is the level knowledge of market traders to zakat mal. The data sources used in this study are prime and secondary data sources. The sampling technique is using Slovin formula, while the data collection technique used is using a questionnaire , to analyzing the data used descriptive methods, in analyzing data used descriptive analysis where the calculation process uses SPSS For Windows version 23.0. the research sample of 100 people. Based on the result of research on the analysis of the knowledge level of Pekanbaru City market traders on zakat mal obtained through respondents answer can be conclude P=55,66%, it means that knowledge of the market traders of Pekanbaru City for zakat mal classified “sufficient or sufficient to know” with a percentage of 41%60%.
