Abstract

This study examines the self-concept of adolescents living at the Kemulia Orphanage in Siak Hulu Regency, Kampar Regency. The study aims to understand how these adolescents view themselves and their interactions within the orphanage environment. Qualitative methods, including interviews and observations, were used. The study involved three participants aged 12 to 15. The study suggests that these adolescents' self-concepts are shaped by their relationships with peers, caregivers, and their experiences in the orphanage. The results reveal a generally positive self-concept, characterized by resilience, aspirations for the future, and the ability to manage emotions despite challenges. This study highlights the importance of supportive relationships and a structured environment in fostering positive selfconcept among orphaned adolescents.
