Abstract
n this study, the development of a Ball Mill tool for Refining Silica Sand was carried out using the Arduino uno R3 Microcontroller method. The development of this tool was carried out because of the need for a silica sand refiner that is operated automatically using the Arduino uno R3 to be used for the purposes of making pellets and ceramic powder. The development process of this tool was carried out in stages, namely the design of the Arduino uno R3, explanation of the function, design of the product concept (working drawing). Technical analysis includes power and speed on the shaft. The driving force of this silica sand refiner is a 1.5 HP electric motor with a rotation of 2800 Rpm. The results of the design of a silica sand refiner machine with a refinement capacity of mg for each bowl mill, and machine dimensions of 50 cm long x 50 cm wide x 100 cm high, the frame uses 5 mm UNP iron. Testing of this silica sand refiner machine was carried out by giving different rotations and times. Where the results of silica sand refinement with a mesh size of 80 mm with a weight of 200 mg and can produce the expected fineness, namely mesh 100, 200 and 300. The performance results of this machine show optimal results.
