Abstract

Well C#XX operates with a Reda DN-750 ESP pump that produces a production rate of 504 bfpd. However, when the well was evaluated through a swabbing job, it produced data on the well, namely SFL 1638 bbl, WFL 1896 bbl, Q 504 bbl/d, WC 71%. Based on the inflow performance relationship (IPR) analysis, the optimal flow rate (Qopt) reaches 1,391.585 BFPD, which is approximately 80% of the maximum flow rate (Qmax). The significant difference between the actual flow rate (Q actual) and the optimal flow rate (Qopt) indicates that the flow generated is not yet in line with the reservoir. This suggests that the pump being used has not achieved the expected results. Based on the data generated, pump selection can be performed according to the pump selection criteria for well C#XX through the screening stage. If the Reda DN-750 is continued to be used, 887.585 BFPD will not be lifted. Therefore, there are two options: redesigning the pump or replacing the pump to achieve or approach the optimal production rate (Qopt) that aligns with the well's potential. To ensure more precise selection of pump type and model, simulations are conducted using the Pipesim software. After planning the pump redesign and replacement, an economic comparison will be conducted by analyzing economic indicators such as NPV, IRR, B/C, and POT using the gross Split method to determine which of the two options is more economical and will provide a shorter payout time (POT) with lower costs. At well C #XX, a PCP type KUDU 175 K 1000 was obtained with a pump capable of producing 1285.535 BFPD, 372.8053 BOPD, and an NPV value of $1,118,611, an IRR of 523%, a B/C value of 30, and a POT of 0.05 years.
