Abstract
Field X is an oil and gas field that has been in production for decades and has reached the secondary recovery stage, namely waterflood, in an effort to increase and maintain production rates by having two injection patterns, namely inverted 3 - spot and inverted 5 - spot, because each injection well has its own target for the production wells. However, in practice, there has been a decline in production rates, which is suspected to be caused by formation damage around the injection wellbores resulting from the waterflood operation itself. This study aims to evaluate the actual condition of the injection wells through analysis using the Hall Plot method and the Voidage Replacement Ratio (VRR) method to monitor the effectiveness of injection and the overall performance of waterflooding in the reservoir. The Hall Plot analysis results indicate that injection wells #IW1 and #IW2 temporarily exhibited positive skin indications caused by poor injection water quality at certain times, but eventually returned to normal (negative skin indications) by the end of the injection period. The skin and injectivity index values for #IW1 were -1.283 and 10.956, while the skin and injectivity index values for #IW2 were -1.361 and 11.486. The VRR results showed that wells #IW1 and #IW2 had good and optimal water injection performance with VRR values >1.
