Abstract
onstruction projects consist of various activities involving construction in accordance with established plans or designs, within the constraints of time and available resources. Every activity in a construction project essentially carries risks. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a preventive measure to minimise the occurrence of accidents and other undesirable incidents while working. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of compliance with the use of personal protective equipment and work safety equipment among workers, and to assess the implementation of OSH in construction projects. The methods used in analysing the use of occupational safety and health equipment are statistical and probability methods. Statistical and probability methods are used to determine the level of compliance and the level of implementation of occupational safety and health in construction projects. Data was obtained from 72 respondents covering four building projects, one shop house, and three housing complexes. The research results show the compliance rate for the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as follows: Building A1 93%, Building A2 79%, Building A3 82%, Building A4 56%, Shop B 25%, Residential Area C1 50%, Residential Area C2 6%, Residential Area C3 23%. For the use of APK, the compliance rates were as follows: Building A1 100%, Building A2 92%, Building A3 83%, Building A4 83%, Shop House B 17%, Residential Areas C1-C3 8%. Attitudes toward the use of PPE were generally positive across all locations, except for Residential Areas C2 and C3, which were neutral. Meanwhile, attitudes toward APK usage show approval at all locations, including areas with low APD compliance. The highest K3 implementation rate is found in Buildings A1, A2, and A3, which have high compliance with APD and APK and positive attitudes due to a dedicated K3 budget, ensuring APD and APK are available adequately. Building A4 also has a budget for OSH implementation, although PPE usage is moderate, while APK usage is high. Shops B and Housing C1–C3 show low to very low OSH implementation, particularly in APK usage, due to the absence of a dedicated OSH budget, although workers' attitudes are generally positive or neutral. Improvements are needed in OSH supervision, education, and training, especially in housing and shop projects.
